Free IUL Policy Review

Caps get cut, costs rise and loans compound. Many IUL policies sold years ago are no longer on track. Send us the basics and we will review your policy and show you every option, in plain English.

What we check

  • Will it last? We look at your policy at today's crediting rates and at lower ones, to see whether and when it could run out of value and lapse.
  • What it costs you: cost of insurance, policy charges and loan interest, in dollars, year by year. Costs inside a universal life policy usually rise with age.
  • Your caps and index choices: what your policy credits today compared with when you bought it, and whether a different index account fits better.
  • Your options: keep it as is, raise or restructure the premium, reduce the face amount to lower costs, or move the cash value to a new policy with a tax-free 1035 exchange.

Why policies drift off track

An IUL is built on assumptions: an illustrated crediting rate, a premium you planned to pay and charges the carrier can change within limits. When caps fall, premiums get skipped or loans are taken early, the policy can drift far from the illustration you were shown. The earlier you catch it, the more options you have.

Frequently asked questions

Will you tell me to replace my policy?

Only if it clearly helps you. Replacing a policy means new underwriting at your current age and health, new surrender charges and new sales costs, so many reviews end with the advice to keep the policy and change how it is funded. We show you the full trade-off in writing before anything changes.

What do I need to send?

Your most recent annual statement is enough to start. An in-force illustration from the carrier is even better: it shows how the policy is projected to perform from today. We can help you request one.

Does the review cost anything?

No. The review is free and there is no obligation. If you decide to make a change, the insurance company pays us. You never pay a fee.

My policy has a loan. Is that a problem?

Not by itself. A loan becomes a problem when the loan balance grows faster than the cash value behind it. If the policy lapses with a loan outstanding, the gain can become taxable income. Checking that is one of the first things we do.

Educational only, not investment, tax or legal advice. Tax Free Wealth Plan LLC is a licensed insurance agency, not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. Indexed universal life is permanent life insurance. It is not an investment in the stock market or in any index. Caps, participation rates, charges and other non-guaranteed elements can change. Policy loans and withdrawals reduce the cash value and death benefit, and a policy that lapses with a loan outstanding can create taxable income. Illustrations are hypothetical and not guaranteed. Coverage is subject to underwriting. Guarantees are backed solely by the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company. Features, costs and availability vary by state and change over time; the policy and its disclosure documents govern.
